Development at TEA

Growing a Vibrant Tahoe/Truckee Community

A Private School With a Public Purpose

Who We Are: Tahoe Expedition Academy includes a fully accredited Pre-K-12th-Grade school, robust summer programs, and engaging after-school clubs that educate hundreds more young people each year. Our graduates are enrolled in some of the nation’s best colleges and universities and, perhaps more importantly, our current students are having a positive impact on the world around them, right here and right now.

Who We Want to Be: We are striving to be a part of the national education conversation by scaling and sharing our innovative practices with schools and youth programs across the country.

How We Are Getting There: TEA’s history of philanthropic support has helped us achieve our vision and continues to power the development of an educational ecosystem on our campus in Truckee, California.

Why TEA? We asked our students this exact question, check out this video to hear their answers.

Join Us On Our Mission

Every gift to TEA helps us continue our mission to empower a new generation of creative problem solvers with a social conscience. In addition, your support empowers us to continue our work on scaling and sharing our innovative practices across the country.

There are two paths for giving at TEA. The first is through our $14M capital campaign. The second is our $500K Annual Fund. To see how our development efforts fit into the overall TEA Strategic Plan, take a few minutes to view the “TEA PLAN” here.

We're excited to share we've secured $2M in pledges for the short term facilities development of our world-class campus in Tahoe/Truckee. $500,000 of that amount has already been received and moves us closer to our goal of $14 million.
