We invite you to participate in our 100% Positive Impact Annual Giving Campaign.

Each day, our students tackle real-world problems IN the real world. Dedicated instructors push students to explore their own boundaries of intellectual growth, emotional resilience, and physical endurance using constructive adversity–an approach designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and responsibility. TEA students work on important projects including the improvement of water resources, promoting renewable energy, improving voter turnout, and addressing the refugee crisis in Syria.

Like our students, Tahoe Expedition Academy is tackling a real-world problem –  how to deliver an accessible, innovative, world-class education that prepares students for the future.

To do that, we are embarking on our first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign. The goal of the Summit Campaign is to raise $20 million over the next four years in order to build the facilities necessary to house a robust student body, provide dynamic real-world student experiences, and fund scholarships, which are vital for attracting and retaining exceptional faculty and families. $4 million has already been raised during the “quiet” phase of our campaign from internal and external donors, and now we need everyone’s help.

Annual Giving is vital to the Summit Campaign and to TEA’s financial stability, as tuition revenue doesn’t fully cover the costs of providing a world-class experiential education, with our small class sizes, extensive opportunities in the field, and passionate, dedicated faculty. Subsequently, we invite our entire community to participate in our 100% Positive Impact Annual Giving Campaign, with the goal of raising $1.4 million by the end of the 2019 calendar year.

You can support our program at a level that is meaningful to you. A gift of $1,000 can support classroom-based program enhancements; a gift of $2,500 can support learning expeditions in the field; a gift of $5,000 can support a scholarship. Gifts of $10,000 or even $15,000 can support more targeted initiatives. Partner with Grandparents or your employer and make an even more impactful gift. 100% Positive Impact is a community-wide initiative to raise funds from every single member of our constituency: parents, trustees, faculty, and staff. Your generous gift will be acknowledged in our 2020 annual report and on the TEA website. We will update you periodically on our progress. Every single donation makes a difference. No matter what size gift you make, it counts towards our 100% participation goal and helps us reach our fundraising Summit.

This year’s annual giving campaign has a dedicated volunteer steering committee. They will follow up with you to answer any questions you may have. Additionally, please feel free to contact our Development Officer, Benjamin Korn, at 916-531-6022 or email bkorn@tahoeexpeditionacademy.org if you have specific goals you would like to accomplish with your philanthropy. These could include gifts of highly appreciated assets, testamentary gifts, or gifts of unusual assets.
