OUR MISSION: EMPOWERING A NEW GENERATION OF CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVERS WITH A SOCIAL CONSCIENCE

Tahoe Expedition Academy (TEA) was founded with a modern experiential approach that uses the power of Constructive Adversity® to transform the lives of young people. We do this by pushing them past their comfort zones and allowing them to utilize collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity to take on the world’s most pressing problems. Our students spend countless days and nights in the field every year, traveling to regional, national and international locations to learn and develop as engaged citizens of the world.

OUR VALUES

These values and beliefs are core elements of our culture at TEA. They are embedded in our learner outcomes, guide school wide decisions, and embody the most important elements for which we stand.

We believe in the infinite power of young people.

We are committed to providing the financial assistance necessary to ensure we are enrolling the students and families our program is the best fit for. Plain and simple: If you can contribute to our community, then we want you here.

This means that regardless of your financial situation, a TEA education is completely within reach. And that includes all adventures and trips, the cost of which is included in tuition. We cannot overstate what an important difference this makes.

What Our Students are Saying

"TEA gave me license to explore things that I would have never been able to explore in high school. TEA has given me more than I can possibly describe, define, or explain to you in any amount of time. I am the person I am today because of them. I had an amazing education because of them."
