Learn to Play Lacrosse - The Right Way!
Did you know that 80% of women’s and men’s college lacrosse practices are dedicated to fundamental lacrosse stick work? This fall, train like a collegiate athlete with former collegiate, professional and international lacrosse players, Taylor Simmers and Eric Martin. In this six session series, participants new to intermediate will learn and refine how to: Pass and Catch with a Purpose, Shoot on the Run, Step Down and Quick Stick, How to Cut and Dodge and More!
Workouts are specifically designed for our K to 2nd Grade student cohort and our 3rd to 5th Grade student cohort. This is a non-contact, socially distanced version of lacrosse, fundamentals will be highlighted – equipment will be provided as needed.
Who: Designed for girls and boys student-athletes. Split into the below cohorts:
- Kindergarten – 2nd grade
- 3rd – 5th grade
When: Thursdays from 3:00pm to 4:45pm, beginning April 22. Six sessions total. See calendar here for specific dates.
Where: Tahoe Expedition Academy – MVEF Campus
Instructors: Taylor Simmers and Eric Martin
Capacity: 15 student per cohort.
What to Bring: Come prepared with cleats, athletics clothing and a water bottle. If your child doesn’t have a lacrosse stick it will be provided.
