Join skilled coaches and TEA Faculty for Mountain Biking Club.
Bikers will navigate the single-track trails of the Tahoe Basin and Truckee. Riders will learn shifting and pedaling best practices, proper body positioning, how to climb / descend technical terrain and much more.
Mountain Biking Club Details
Instructors: Skye Allsop
Who: Girls and boys, 1st – 5th graders, beginner to intermediate riders. Beginner bikers are those without club experience. Riders will be split by age and experience into two rider groups. 1st graders must be accompanied by a parent.
When: Thursdays – depart from Base Camp at 3:15pm. Rides typically end by ~5pm, varies by ride location. Six rides total, September through November. Click the registration link below for specific dates.
Where: Depart from Tahoe Expedition Academy Base Camp located at 9765 Schaffer Mill Rd. Truckee, CA 96161 for nearby single track rides at Emigrant Trail, Tahoe Donner XC, Flume Trail and beyond!
Capacity: 20 student bikers
What to Bring: Participants will need their own bike (one that is in good working order), any special tools for fixing flats, spare tube, helmet, gloves and hydration system.
