Dear Families,

We are excited to announce that we are launching an after school academic program called the Learning Lab for Lower School students in grades 2-5. This program is designed to provide a supportive space for students to receive help with homework and classwork and also solidify and build upon academic skills.

The Learning Lab will run in sessions of 8-10 weeks, with the first session beginning after October break and ending just before winter break. We will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from the end of the school day until 4:30 PM. Each session will start with a 20-minute recess, followed by 90 minutes of academic activities. Students will have to get help with homework and class assignments, followed by focused academic skill development in either ELA (writing and reading) or Math. Limited use of computer programs may be incorporated into the program. Additionally, each session will include brain breaks and TEA provided snacks. 

For students to receive the attention they deserve, we will be maintaining a low student to teacher ratio. We aim to grow this program to be able to offer support for a larger variety of students and their needs, but we want to start small to ensure our success. Therefore, the Learning Lab will be invite-only for now.The cost for the first 10-week session is $565, which covers 20 sessions from October 14 to December 18. The Learning Lab is a twice a week program, so students who sign up will be registered for all 20 sessions. If your child is unable to make a session, please communicate with us, however we will not be prorating sessions. If you would like your child to participate, please reserve your spot by signing up below and making payment by October 2nd. After this date we will be inviting additional students if there are remaining spots open.
