Tahoe Expedition Academy’s Rainbow Run, Rock & Roll is a family friendly community event involving a 5K fun run/walk/roll on the Truckee River Legacy Trail, followed by a free festival on the Chief Truckee Lawn at the Truckee Regional park featuring live musical performances, local vendors, informational community booths, food trucks, games and more. This event has something for everyone and is a perfect way to launch Truckee’s second annual PRIDE Week.

Early Registration is Now Open.

$35 for adults, $20 for kids (prices increase to $45 for adults, $30 for kids on 5/14)

Festival

Join us from 9:30am - 1:00pm on the Chief Truckee Lawn at the Truckee Regional Park for a family friendly celebration of PRIDE.

Musicians and performers: Inner Rhythms, David Mack DJ, TEA Rock Bands, Sour Crush, Steel Sparrows
Food trucks: Super Swirl - Ice Cream Truck, Lumbre & Dulce Gula - Taco Truck
Vendors and booths such as Riverside Studios, Tahoe Food Hub, Woodward Tahoe, and Truckee Community Theater. Full list below.

We are excited to be the launch event for 2025 Truckee Pride.

“The word ‘pride’ is an integral cultural concept within the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex (LGBTQI) community, representing solidarity, collectivity, and identity as well as resistance to discrimination and violence. Its associated symbolism (e.g., rainbow colors) communicates to individuals that LGBTQI members are welcome as valuable members of the community.” (LGBT.UCSF)

Event Timeline

Join us on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 8:30am-1:00pm

- Event Schedule - 
• 8:00am - 9:00am - Bib pick up
• 9:00am - 5K runners are released
• 9:10am - 5K walkers are released
• 9:30am - Folks on scooters or bikes are released
• 9:30am - Festival begins
• 1:00pm - Festival ends

5K Family Fun Run/Walk/Roll

This out and back fun run/walk will start and end on the paved Truckee River Legacy Trail above the Lower River BBQ plaza. After departing in self-identified mile time waves, participants follow a mostly flat course along the Truckee River. They will pass the East River Foot Bridge before a short descent. The course goes under Hwy 267 just before passing the one water station. The course continues along the path, over a wooden footbridge before reaching the turnaround location.

Registration is now open, HOWEVER event t-shirts can only be guaranteed to participants who sign up by May 14th, so sign up EARLY!
