Advanced Biathlon Team
Biathlon is a great way for students to combine their love for adventure and winter endurance sports.
Biathlon is a great way for students to combine their love for adventure and winter endurance sports. Designed for 6th – 12th grade student-athletes with one or more Biathlon full season/s worth of experience. This is for committed athletes only, who are able to attend all practices and meets. TEAm membership typically includes fitness training, high mileage practices with race specific training, five range sessions @ ASC and more. Ski training will also happen at other local XC resorts.

Who: Available to 6th – 12th grade student-athletes with previous biathlon TEAm experience (full season/s worth of experience).
Where: Training will take place at Tahoe Donner XC in Truckee, CA. And at Auburn Ski Club on Donner Summit.
When: January to March. We will practice in December if trails open.
Coaches: Carolyn Highland, Shelley Bolen, Eric Martin and other coaches TBA.
Experts: Brian Halligan, former World Cup Competitor.
Season Format: The Advanced Biathlon TEAm is limited to 25 student-athletes. TEAm spots are only available to experienced and committed student-biathletes. Training will focus primarily on dry-land fitness training, technical on-snow training, multiple range sessions and high intensity skate workouts.
The Advanced Biathlon TEAm will compete in CNISSF / Tah Neva League races and western Biathlon Races.
TEAm Size: 25 students
Equipment Rental: Biathletes skate-ski all winter. If your child doesn’t have their own set you will need to rent Skate Skis, Boots and Poles (no classic skis).
Auburn Ski Club Membership: TEA athletes will train with .22 caliber rifles at the ASC shooting range. Sessions are instructed by former World Cup Competitor, Brian Halligan and other experts. For more on ASC, please visit their website here.
