Fall Athletics – Mountain Biking, XC Running, MS Girls Basketball, MS Boys Basketball, Flag Football, and Tennis highlight Fall 2022 offerings. Girls Basketball begins the first week of school, while all other sports practices begin the week of September 12.

Mountain Biking
This fun, competitive TEAm is back and better than ever. Designed for 6th to 12th graders, who are able to train two to three days per week during the season, and compete in scheduled NICA races this Fall. Participants will train hard and learn the how to's of riding single track - challenge by choice of course! Mountain Biking is one of the best sports Tahoe has to offer - let's Ride!
Our Cross Country Running TEAm is one of our most popular athletic offerings each fall! The Cross Country TEAm is open to students in 5th to 12th grade students. Student-athletes 5th- 8th grade compete in the Tah-Neva league and 9th - 12th grade athletes compete in California Interscholastic Federation.
Girls Basketball returns this Fall, for a fun and skill focused season. Student-athletes 5th through 8th grade are invited to participate. This is a competitive and developmental program. Participants will compete in Tah-Neva League games against local Tahoe, Reno and Carson based small schools.
Flag football is one of the fastest growing youth sports, both locally and internationally. TEA’s Flag Football team is open to high school student-athletes of all abilities. The goal this year is to build skills, engage in regularly scheduled intra-team scrimmages, and have lots of fun.
Tennis TEAm is designed for student-athletes in 7th to 12th grade - all ability and experience levels are welcome. This TEAm is coached by local Tennis Pros. Training sessions will focus on aerobic exercise, footwork, movement, hand eye focus, volleying, serving, and more!
Middle School Boys Basketball is designed for student-athletes in 5th through 8th grade and of varied experience and ability levels – so new through experiences players are welcome. Practices and home games are typically hosted at Truckee Rec Center, while away games occur throughout the Tah-Neva region – which includes Tahoe, Truckee, Reno and Carson City. Experienced coaches will help guide our players – emphasizing fun, fundamental skill sets, great effort and floor IQ – along the way.
Winter Athletics – Downhill Skiing, Nordic Skiing and Volleyball highlight winter sports offerings. Registration for Winter sports will open in November.

Nordic Team
Our Nordic team is designed for student athletes in 5th to 12th grade. Students new to nordic skiing will learn the fundamentals together in similar ability groups. Meanwhile, more experienced athletes will ski up to 10km - 15km per practice, working on endurance and technique throughout. Practices will happen three days a week at nearby XC Training Centers. Athletes will compete in league wide nordic races during the winter.
Volleyball practices will focus on the fundamentals of the sport, while games will happen in the fun and competitive Tah-Neva League. Our goal is to field two girls TEAms, a 5th to 7th Grade and 8th Grade TEAm with ten or more players on each TEAm. This offering is for student-athletes of all abilities and levels.
Back from a long hiatus, our competitive High School Ski TEAm trains and competes in slalom and giant slalom events at local ski resorts like Sugar Bowl, Palisades Tahoe and Northstar, with Championships Races at Mammoth Mountain. Typically, the official California Nevada Interscholastic Ski and Snowboard Federation (CNISSF) race season begins in January and ends with the state championships in March.
Spring Athletics – During the Spring, student-athletes will enjoy Tennis, Ultimate Frisbee, Mountain Biking, and of course, Track and Field! Registration for Spring Athletics will open February 2023.

Track and Field
Middle School Track & Field AND High School Track & Field is now available to student athletes 5th - 12th grade! No experience is required, though committed, dedicated student-athletes are a must.

Ultimate frisbee is a fun, challenging and inclusive team sport. It is played in over 65 countries around the world and continues to grow rapidly. Our Ultimate Team is offered for high school student-athletes, all abilities are welcome to join - expect fun, high aerobic practices every outing. Committed athletes are a must to ensure TEAm development, competition, growth and fun.
