Mountain Biking TEAm is back to compete in the NICA League!
Our Upper School Mountain Biking TEAm returns for another fun season riding the best trails Tahoe & Truckee have to offer! The goal of this TEAm and its associated governing league, NICA, is to build the know-how, stamina and enjoyment necessary to make mountain biking a life long, healthy pursuit. This is the training pre-season, competitive races will begin in the Fall.
Who: This NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) sanctioned TEAm is for 6th to 12th grade student-athletes, girls and boys.
When: Wednesdays from 3pm to ~ 5pm, riding begins after Spring Break on April 20th.
Where: Rides will vary to keep practices fresh, last season we rode Jackass, Tahoe Rim Trail, Flume, 06 and other fun, challenging single track trails. Ride schedules will be communicated prior to each practice week. Parents pick up from the ride trailhead.
Athlete Expectations: TEAm spots are limited, committed student-athletes only. Committed means 100% attendance for practices and events. All TEAm members will understand, sign and follow the Student Athlete Expectations Agreement.
Coaches: Skye Allsop, Eric Martin, and others TBA.
Equipment: Students must provide the following: Front or full suspension mountain bike, bike helmet, gloves, hydration system and personal bike repair kit. Dress for riding and weather.
Costs: Registration fee is $175 per student.
