We wanted to share some exciting news about recent progress the School has made with the Martis Valley Education Foundation, the current owners of our 42-acre campus. In the Spring of 2024, we announced some incredible news. For the first time, we have the opportunity to purchase our beloved campus and ensure the School’s long-term feasibility for generations to come. In short, this is the most unique opportunity in the history of TEA! Here are the specifics:

• We have officially entered into a signed mutual purchase agreement to buy the Martis Valley Campus in its entirety from the Martis Valley Education Foundation.
• Owning the campus will allow TEA to enhance our children’s experience, providing a second home in a stable, long-term and sustainable environment.
• The original goals of the campus, as a vehicle to our world-class teaching, as a second home for students, faculty, and staff, and as a community resource for the Tahoe Basin, are all possible with this purchase.
• We’re raising $15 million this summer to secure the land and begin planning for the next phase of learning buildings.
• We need everyone’s help to make this a reality – please let either of us know if you have leads or ideas, share our opportunity as much as you can, and keep an eye out for further updates.
