Tahoe Expedition Academy

Transportation Department Employment Opportunities

We are currently hiring bus drivers and a transportation supervisor

Tahoe Expedition Academy (TEA) values real-world applications of academic concepts from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th-Grade. In order to live these values, TEA must be efficient in transporting students out into the field. Whether that’s a trip to Lake Tahoe to study water clarity, or an expedition to Sacramento to visit our state’s capitol, our transportation department plays an integral role in the education of the students at TEA.

During the earliest days at TEA we made the decision to invest in our own school buses so we could transport dozens of kids to field studies far and wide. And as a direct result we also created an opportunity for a home-to-school transportation option for families living in surrounding areas. This allows our school to enroll students across a wide geographical area – from Incline Village & Kings Beach to Reno, Nevada.

We are currently hiring for two positions in our transportation department: Transportation Supervisor and Bus Driver. Job descriptions and links to apply are below. Beyond the benefit of being part of the real-world education experience for hundreds of students every year, our full time employee benefits include:

– 100% Tuition Remission for children of full-time employees
– 401(k) Savings Plan
– Health Insurance Plan
– Dental Insurance Plan
– Vision Insurance Plan
– Long Term Disability, Term Life and AD&D
