TEA Student Council Camp Fire Fundraiser

TEA Student Council is hosting an online fundraiser for our holiday service project this season that will go towards the recovery efforts of the Camp Fire.

It’s holiday season and the town of Paradise, CA is now recognized for the most destructive fire with the highest human loss in California history. Tens of thousands have been displaced, have lost homes, businesses, personal belongings, and pets. An insurance risk consultant has pegged financial damages from the Camp Fire at $7.5 billion to $10 billion. As it stands, Paradise won’t even be rebuilt, so it is our job to support the ones affected by the fire.

At Tahoe Expedition Academy (TEA), we care about giving back to communities in need. Relief efforts are yielding an abundance of supply donations that are stretching limited human resources to sort/distribute beyond the capacity of storage and staffing. While organizations are grateful for all the support, they are no longer accepting in-kind donation; instead, they are requesting to give funds to support the recovery of families.

TEA Student Council decided to host an online fundraiser for our holiday service project this season that will go towards the recovery efforts of the Camp Fire. All funds raised will be donated directly to the North Valley Community Foundation who will provide financial resources to organizations and agencies responding to those affected by the Camp Fire in Northern California.
