Join TEA Student Sadie Tucker for One of Her CD Release Parties

Last year at her 8th-grade Passage, Sadie shared that she had decided to record an album of original songs that she had written over the course of her time at TEA. Over the summer/fall, she spent a great deal of time in the recording studio with Emily Tessmer, laying down all the tracks. It was a labor of love for sure that took about six months of diligent work. She sang all the vocals/harmonies, and played all the instrumentation (bass, piano, guitar and violin—everything except the drum tracking).

If she garners a big turnout (especially at Moody’s), she will likely be invited back for future gigs which would be huge for her as she jumpstarts this next step in her musical journey. So, we would love to have as many TEA folks come out and support her as possible.

Inspired by TEA and last year’s Passage Presentation, Sadie has decided to donate a portion of the CD and iTunes sales to The Malala Fund, the non-profit founded by Nobel Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai that supports education for girls around the world. Many many thanks to all of you in our CommuniTEA for inspiring Sadie and in helping shape her into the incredible young woman that she is!
