TEA Volleyball Season Wrap Up

We’re excited about the future and so proud of the 20 student-athletes and coaches who enjoyed the TEAm this season.

The Girls MS Volleyball TEAm just finished its first ever season this week. This TEAm, comprised of 20 student-athletes between 5th to 8th grade, practiced twice through January and February. Practices alternated between Truckee Rec Center and Martis Camp Red Barn and were lead by skilled and dedicated coaches, Jenny Le Vovick and Stephanie Pereira. Practices focused on the fundamentals, how to: bump, pepper, serve, set, communicate and other elements so important to sound volleyball play. Of course, physical fitness and conditioning were highlighted every practice too.

On Monday, Feb 25 the coaches organized an intersquad scrimmage at Truckee Rec Center for players to enjoy, complete with a full court set up, parent spectators and custom TEA embellished Nike uniforms.

Looking ahead to next school year, this dedicated TEAm will compete in the Tah-Neva middle school league against schools like ACMS, Lake Tahoe School, South Tahoe, Carson City and other nearby schools. We’re excited about the future and so proud of the 20 student-athletes and coaches who enjoyed the TEAm this season.

Here’s a quick video clip from one of their practices. Thank you again coaches and students!
