Pre-K Kiddos Learn About the Muscular System Through Cross Country Skiing and Yoga

Students worked their leg muscles as they pushed up the cross-country course and practiced their balance on the downhills.

With the return of winter weather to our area, this past week our Pre-K kiddos, aka the Castle Peak Crew, spent just about all of their time playing in the snow, cross country skiing and learning about our muscular system.

The students had a blast sledding, while patiently taking turns, cross country skiing around the Martis Valley Campus, and ending the week with a trip to the Tahoe City Nordic Center.

Students worked their leg muscles as they pushed up the cross-country course and practiced their balance on the downhills.

The Castle Peak Crew showed great perseverance and resilience as well as empathy and kindness towards their crew members while helping them get up and encouraging their friends with kind words. Nice teamwork everyone!

As part of their Real World Problem: “The Lost Art of Face to Face Communication”, The Castle Peak Crew teleported all the way to Germany! The students learned useful words and phrases and compared German to English, noticing many similarities and familiar words like Kindergarten 🙂
