Heroes of High Fives
For their 6th-grade Learning Expedition, our students were involved in a deep study of mythology, its purposes, and elements. Students studied the archetypal storyline of the hero’s journey which has been repeated in literature throughout the centuries. Our students were then connected with several High Fives athletes to interview, record and narrate each of their hero’s journeys to create their final product book “The Heroes of High Fives.”

As part of our 4th-grade Fall Learning Expedition titled “Poetry, Poets, and Becoming Writers”, our students examined the purpose of art alongside our ethical duty to the wilderness. Fortunately for us, we need to look no further than the works of John Muir and Yosemite National Park to put these concepts together.

For their Pre-K Learning Expedition titled “I am UNIQUE, I am ENOUGH!”our 4 and 5-year-olds are learning how to notice similarities and differences while also learning how to give and receive appreciations.
TEA Student Council Camp Fire Fundraiser
TEA Student Council is hosting an online fundraiser for our holiday service project this season that will go towards the recovery efforts of the Camp Fire.
